Patronage of Mary Development School (PMDS) in Boljoon, Cebu, has successfully hurdled the certification process by the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC). The school’s Senior High School Program underwent evaluation on March 8, 2024, and received positive feedback and commendation from the team of certifiers. The certification process entailed the assessment of various aspects, including the school’s philosophy, Vision Mission Goals and objectives, instructional leadership, curriculum implementation, Culminating Activity and Immersion, among others. Led by Dr. Ma. Helena M. Terre, the PEAC Team acknowledged PMDS as the first school in Region 7 to voluntarily seek certification.
According to Dr. Rouel A. Longinos, the school director, PMDS decided to pursue certification to gain external insight into any deficiencies and continually enhance its services and instructional delivery to students. Dr. Longinos expressed confidence in the school’s instructional quality and believed that undergoing certification would highlight areas for improvement.
In another significant development, PMDS recently hosted the monitoring of Senior High Schools by PEAC on April 15, 2024. Seasoned academicians Ingrid M. Bohol , and Dr. Jovita B. Augusto led the monitoring team. The purpose of this monitoring was to validate the Senior High School Voucher Program grantees. During the monitoring, PMDS successfully presented complete and valid documents regarding its voucher program beneficiaries for the school year 2023-2024.
Moreover, on October 16, 2023, the Junior High School Department of PMDS underwent a virtual recertification process conducted by PEAC National Certifiers. This further demonstrates the school’s dedication to maintaining high standards in all its departments.
Dr. Longinos emphasized the importance of the school’s systems, procedures, instructional delivery, and student academic experience, considering these as integral to the PMDS brand of service and instructional excellence. He extended his sincere appreciation to the certifiers and monitoring team from PEAC, acknowledging their objective feedback and evaluation. Dr. Longinos also expressed gratitude towards the administrative staff, subject coordinators, teachers, and students for showcasing synergy and collaboration, which he believes exemplifies the true Patrocinian Spirit at PMDS.
