The Patronage of Mary Development School (PMDS) in Boljoon, Cebu hosted the Sinulog sa PMDS 2025, a vibrant religious celebration honoring the Sto. Niño. The scheduled activities included nine Novena Masses held from January 22 to January 30, culminating in a festive Mass on January 31, 2025, officiated by Fr. Edmund Resus. This year’s theme, “Sto. Niño: Hope of the Pilgrim Church,” reflected the enduring significance of the Sto. Niño as a source of spiritual strength.

Dr. Rouel A. Longinos, the school principal, emphasized the importance of this event in nurturing faith among the students. “Seeing our children participate in the Novena Masses, pray earnestly, and joyfully wave their hands while singing the Gozos was a testament to our school’s unwavering commitment to instilling a deep faith in God. It also exemplified the hope that our community embodied in the face of societal challenges,” he stated.

The Sinulog sa PMDS served not just as a religious observance, but also as an opportunity for the school to reaffirm its role as a beacon of education grounded in Christian values. The commitment to fostering spiritual growth among the youth was vital, as they represented the hope for a brighter future for the country.
As the festivities unfolded, the PMDS community invited everyone to join in this celebration of faith, unity, and hope, further strengthening the bonds within the community and nurturing the next generation of leaders steeped in virtue and compassion.
