The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) announced the advancement to the championship level of the Patrocinian Dance Company (PDC) in the Dance Xchange on Air 2020, also dubbed as “DX on Air.” The said dance concert series, which will start airing on October 17, 2020 until January 2021, will feature a total of 250 dance companies and groups from all over the Philippines and from abroad.
The “DX on Air” will telecast every Saturday and Sunday, 6-7 PM. Twelve dance troupes will come out for every dance concert. Fifty five groups from the NCR, 55 from Luzon, 55 from Visayas, 55 from Mindanao, and 30 foreign delegations will show off their paramount performances
Dr. Shirley Halili-Cruz, NCCA chair for the Committee on Dance, congratulated Mr. Alven Jake B. Manubag, being the choreographer and manager of the newest addition to the pride of PMDS, the Patrocinian Dance Company. The Patrocinian Dance Company is a school-based organization in Boljoon, Cebu, Philippines that promotes Filipino and the local culture through performing arts.
Bolho Dance, which is a dance of friendship and hospitality of the Boljoanons that highlights the natural and cultural treasures of the postcard town of Boljoon, serves as the conceptual theme of the PDC in its ultimate production soon.
